turbo timer problems in STi

Has anyone who has installed a turbo timer in their STi been able to still use thier upgraded STi security system? I tried to install turbo timer today but I found that the alarm system is not like the one on the WRX; i.e. the alarm runs off power from the ecu and cannot be armed while the timer is running down. This essentially means that the alarm is useless (the remote lock still works). For some reason, the alarm system cannot run off the same souce of power that the timer is running on. For those of you that have a turbo timer on your STi and the upgrade security pakage, were you able to make both work with each other? Any help would be welcome. Thanks!

There are ways to use TT while using upgraded OEM alarm but for WRX.

Who knows you could apply this to STi too.
