If you plan on racing competitivly, you need to first read the sanctioning body rules and regulations book to decide what class you want to run it (SCCA Club Racing or NASA). A cage, external shut off, and window net will be manditory; as well as removal of the air bag and wheel lock. Everything else will be secondary. It just depends on how competitive you want to be and how much money do you have to spend. I've built two SCCA Pro 7 cars for competition and know first hand about what it takes to run at the front. If it's a daily driver that sees occasional track days then strut braces, adjustable coil overs, a camber kit, sway bars, pads, and dedicated tires will do the trick as far as handeling goes.
