Hey, nice setup, how much did it cost for everything. Also, based on your user handle, do you use esso gas in your sti? If so, have you experienced any pinging. I will be getting a STi in the spring and will most likely go with the Optimax Gold (93 octane) offered at Shell stations.

I'm still breaking in and have not experienced any pinging with 91 esso. But I think shells optimax is actually only 91 as well! Check their web site and see for yourself.

US Acoustics USX 2150 amp (bridged) to sub.
Clamshell DVD player for long trips rides on dash cupholder.
Both amps set up for quick removal in trunk from terminal block. Sub amp mounted on sub box. Sub box removable in seconds.
Now if I can just figure out how to run the fronts off the head unit without the amps in the trunk for when I race........
BYW, the interior of the car is quite bright for a car. The doors cry out for dynomat. I did not want to add a full door kit (for weight reasons), but I did add the 10 inch square speaker kit behind the drivers. I also set the crossover on my fronts to -2db to the tweets, and off axis, which seemed to help a lot. I originally had the shop install the fronts in foam surrounds, but I could generate almost no midrange until I yanked the surrounds out.

i have decided to ditch my long contemplated LCD/Nav/Ps2 system
and just get some Diamond Audio Hex. S600 a/s
maybe the s6.0 me3 but very unlikely due to price
there is this Authorized Diamond Audio store close to me. i acutally know the boss there... gonna see if i can get a deal
haven't decided what head unit / amp i need. sub if needed at all, it all depends on how much $ i have left..

dag: Yeah, I figured that I would put my "original" SVS driver to use, since I upgraded it to their "new and improved" version. Actually it does remarkably well in the 1.5 cf sealed box. Could use a bit more power to drive it, though.

Stereo installed
I had a local sound shop install a Pioneer 'Ghost' head unit - fits in dash perfectly and has a red display option to match gauges. Is a touch screen and is black when off. No ***** or dials at all.
I also added the Pioneer 8 disk changer in the trunk.
No amps or boom box speakers.
Kenwood speakers in all doors - no major issues in installing them.
Sounds great, and cost me around $600 complete.
