Alpine 9815 HU (aux cable run to RCA cords under seat for dvd)
Diamond 5.25 front components (not hex, the one below)
Diamond 300.2 amp to drive the fronts
SVS 12 inch sub driver in 1.3 cubic foot sealed box.
US Acoustics USX 2150 amp (bridged) to sub.
Clamshell DVD player for long trips rides on dash cupholder.

Both amps set up for quick removal in trunk from terminal block. Sub amp mounted on sub box. Sub box removable in seconds.

Now if I can just figure out how to run the fronts off the head unit without the amps in the trunk for when I race........

BYW, the interior of the car is quite bright for a car. The doors cry out for dynomat. I did not want to add a full door kit (for weight reasons), but I did add the 10 inch square speaker kit behind the drivers. I also set the crossover on my fronts to -2db to the tweets, and off axis, which seemed to help a lot. I originally had the shop install the fronts in foam surrounds, but I could generate almost no midrange until I yanked the surrounds out.

Mine set me back about $1500 (bought locally at brick and mortar, installed, minus the sub/box/sub amp, and my daughter’s DVD player which I already had).

I had the install shop make it easy to remove. The sub amp is mounted ot the sub box. I though about mounting the front amp to the sub box, too, but I wanted the flexibility of removing the sub for trips where I need the trunk space, but retaining the front amp for the tunes on the trip. The install shop put a thin plywood board under the front amp mount, and installed threaded inserts into the board, so that I can simply remove the screws and the amp will come off. I also had them set up the distribution block using space connectors (large ones) so that I can quickly remove the power to the two amps.

The sub box is held in place with velcro on the bottom (large, industrial looking velcro strips). It just sets on the carpet and doesn't seem to move. It is kind of hard to remove, you have to work your hand underneath it and then try to slide it out of the trunk without letting the velcro grab the carpet again. I am going to cut a piece of thin plastic that I can slip under the sub box, between the velcro and the carpet and then slip the whole works out much easier. It will also make it really easy to put back in, slip the whole works in on the plastic and then slide out the plastic. I am exploring the use of either Dzus fasteners or other quick release fasteners for the sub mount and amps, but I cannot figure out exactly how to rig it up. I also explored using the Moroso "T" fasteners from a small block Chevy to hold the front amp in place, but they stick up too high, and they required studs which remain sticking out of the mounting plate even after the amp is removed, which is not very "luggage friendly". Looked slick though.
