I got laid off 3 weeks ago (plus I ruptured my Achilles Tendon playing Kendo and had surgery) so any thoughts of getting the Sti this year are down the tubes. If those of you who don't know, Ruptured Achilles means no manual transmission. I can't even depress the clutch pedal on my MY00 RS. I am now back to driving the hoopty '81 Maxima Station Wagon. (ie the family SDF-1)
I'm planning to go to Stanford for engineering grad school and that will cost me at least 40k for 2 yrs just for tuition and books!!!!!!!!
OUCH!!!
But on the other hand, I'm #53 on the list at Carlsen Subaru in Redwood City and doubt I would've gotten anything this year anyways. I'll sign up next year again.

Sorry to hear that, I feel for you.
I was driving to work last Monday and got rear ended in my Jeep by some idiot...may be totaled.
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that is possibly totaled...yeah it was a hard hit. Best part is his insurance Progessive, my new favorite people says he had the minumum coverages.
He hit me first, pushed me into a mini van, then the mini van hit Jag. So he is not covered..my insurance picks up the tab.
Long story short this is going to cost me...enough to scrap my Scooby order...prolly not but it will make buying the STi painful where as it should not be.
Good Luck.

Blue, no I'm not a huge Macross fan, but that and Gundam literally started my engineering career! LOL One more thing. Carlsen Subaru didn't take any deposits or down payments when I signed up.

Sorry to hear about your work and injury. I hope you have a smooth recovery. Look at the bright side: a grad degree from a top program such as Stanford or Cal (if you want to save a little bit on tuitition) will certainly help boost your career. Just be patient, it'll all work out for you.
