speaker newb in need of advice from knowledgeable peeps

im in a speaker dilemna guys....

i dont know if i want to go with the infinity kappa componnents 6 1/2 up front and 2-way 5 1/4 in the back.... i dont want to get an amp so i was wondering how these would sound with just a head unit (Kenwood KDC-MPV6022 22 watts rms)?

i dont want to shell out too much money for an amp so should i just go with maybe the reference series? it'll require less wattage...\

do the references sound alot worse or what?

im very confused on what to do and if i had more information to tackle this problem that would be awsome...im such a speaker newb, and hoping more knowledgable people could give me a little advice on what to do... THAnKS!

I have the inifinity reference series seperates run by an alpine deck. It sounds alright, but if you want great sound, you should get an amp and the kapas. Ofcourse it'll get way more expensive... I don't think any head unit will be able to drive the kapas, especially at high volumes it'll sound distorted. If you're going to get the kapas, it doesn't make any sense not to get an amp. My system costed me less than $450 installed. I'm just happy to have somewhat affordable sounds in my STI. It doesn't pound, but they sound pretty good.
