Don't forget that little break in period..... You want those beautiful cars to last don't ya..... I am really shocked that someone could race thier brand new car right off the lot!!!! That EVO that ran the 13.185 will probably have some issues with the main bearing seal and Valve cover gaskets later on down the road.... Ya have to controll your self for the first few thousand miles... Work your baby into the right "mood".... Just like you're working your girl.... Ya can't just Ramm it in her!!!!! Ya gotta take it slow till she's ready, then ya can ride the hell outta it!!!!!
Just a comparison.... Sorry if I offended anyone

But what about the remaining 2 or those that aren't so average.
They tend not to mind a good rogering minus all the pomp & circumstance.
As the saying goes; "Ride'm hard and put'em away wet."

Hello,
I just joined this forum not to give you an negative bashing impression, but that I am fond of the WRX/STI as well and look forward to seeing comments about the STI. However, I do wish to set the "rumors" straight in regards to my best 60', ET, and MPH runs at the Dragway (1.74, 13.185, 104.54mph). Believe me when I tell you even the Evolution forum had plenty of disbelievers until I posted 4 of my timeslips.

One of my college roomates for three years was a 'Zulu' who learned to speak to speak the 'Queens English' before coming to America to study.
Of course he and I both spent a good amount of our time studying females, hard liqour, the magical mystical effects of 'Chomba' aka 'Sticky Green' and teaching each other curse words & slang from our native tongues (his of course being bifurcated).
I was wondering if anyone would catch on to the 'rogering' and get my drift.

Don't know how relevant my observations are (but I'll toss them into the mix anyways). I've personally seen the USDM-STI and EVO on the dragstrip for a Sport Compact Car test ...
STI - 13.1 seconds
EVO - 13.4 seconds
I didn't catch all the runs, but I'd assume their average scores should be in that area.
STI - .91g on the 200' skidpad
EVO - .94g on the same pad
I'm not sure what kind of tires are on the STI, but the EVO had the nice gummy Advans.
