Response From Subaru On Sti
Dear Mr. M:
Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site and for your interest in a WRX
STi. The 2004 Impreza models, except the WRX STi, should be available at
Subaru dealerships in April. The 2004 WRX STi models should be available at
Subaru dealerships in June.
We in the Customer/Dealer Services Department have not yet received pricing
information for the 2004 Impreza models. I do know that dealers have
received pricing information for the 2004 Impreza models, including the WRX
models. I do not know if this pricing includes pricing for the 2004 WRX STi.
You may want to contact your dealer to inquire with him.
Also, some Subaru dealers are now accepting orders for 2004 WRX STi models.
Please contact your local Subaru dealer(s) to discuss this further.
Thanks for the opportunity to be of assistance. If you need any future
assistance, please feel free to contact us again.
Best wishes,
John J. Mergen
Subaru of America, Inc.

you guys are not the only ones waiting, Southern Cali is expecting the same time frame that you guys described for both models (WRX in late April, STI in June) as for pricing it looks like at my dealership that the WRX is expected to increase $500 and the STI is gonna be right around $32,000. i can only think that maybe they are waiting to see the early sales figures for the EVO8 just incase they want to change the price accordingly.

04' WRX is already here at local dealers that's another reason I am pissed, not that the STI is not here because I was told to expect it in June but just the fact about the price, and if the STI is as good as it sounds Subaru should not have to worry about Evo sales!

I don't get why you're pissed? The STi is still three months away. By the sounds of it, they will start advertising in May 1. This means they should have the price out by then (which is what rumor reports said a while ago "Price in May").
SoA has given the ballpark price ("low 30s" or "low-to-mid 30s" depending on sources). Rumors are putting the price at $31-$32k. Either way, you know what to expect give or take a grand.
Mitsu didn't release the price of the EVO until about a month and a half before it was released, either. SoA actually gave us a teaser by showing the car off about 5-6 months before it's released whereas Mitsu kept quiet on everything up until 1 1/2 months before release time.
