I emailed them on saturday to see if they were planning on making the backlighting to red, like the STi gauges and here is the response:

For your inquiry, we are sorry to inform you, but red backlighting version of BF gauges is not available at this stage. It is impossible to change its backlighting color, too.

We are sorry for not being any help of you this time.
However, we will put your comment on our products into our consideration of further development.

Hmm, I can get the Omori 60mm (EGT, Boost, Oil Pressure) and Defi Pod for $645 (includes shipping).

Any clue what similar Defi meters would cost? I only see them in GBs and I haven't see the BF series offered lately.

I'm thinking Omori for now and I can always swap out later if something comes out specifically for the STi.

 

I'm thinking of something a little more electronic...but I dunno how well it works...the HKS CAMP...

Where are you going to mount your gauges? The Defi pods adds another $150 plus shipping. As much as I would like the Defi's I think I'm going to go with the Omori's with the Red backlight. Though I don't mind metric I would prefer imperial units.
Very interested to see how your setup looks when you get it in.

 

I already have the Defi pod and the Omori WRX look-a-like gauges, grr. gotta sell em!

I prefer the red backlight too, but I like the startup and shutdown of the BF series.

Does the Defi pod come in the same color as the dash or black?

 

Naw its gray or something. I had to paint, but used flat black and its off. Im still going to get the dash material and cover it. Will be hard, but I want to make it work. I tried with some material and it just doesnt fit the curves well, but I want it to look better. I think there are better paint colors as well, Mitch suggested a Ford gray I think... I primed it, painted it and clear coated it and its pretty nice.

Wow, good catch. Hope they have a cloer shot of the gauges, cant really make out the logo or whatnot, but I like em. More expensive than the Defi BFs tho. Ugh.
