good for you, buying the STi is the best choice one can make in buying the car with most potential and super powers. u do know you have the ultimate machine of all time right.. hehe i mean in the year 7037, they will be teaching the history of our modern culture in the 2000 era and the STi will be on the timelist of breakthrough in technology: yr2004, USDM STi available for usa automotive market. 2.5L horizontally opposed 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. full time ALL wheel drive system with DCCD 3 lsd's, peak 300hp 300 torque, brembo brakes, STi custom forged pistons, forged block, oh baby. intercooler water spray function. its a piece of technology that will go down in history u have in the power of ur hands... dont u feel the power... =)

ProPain, I know what you mean about the feel of the STI, I traded my 94 Firebird M6 (12.63 @ 109.3) in for mine.
It's got a much different feel to it. I was thinking the same thing about the "tin" feel to it. Just take it for some light offroading and you'll feel more re-assured (or speed bumps if you don't won't to wash it later).
Coincidentaly it was raining yesterday and I had an SS (~2000) pull up next to me. Wasn't a race, but I could tell he was thinking what I always thought whenever I saw a monster wing - rice! Drop the hammer a little and put him in his place.
Pull off the line like normal, he gave it a little much and started a bit of wheel spin (just what I always fought with in the F-body, that much low end torq makes rain annoying). I dropped the hammer a bit, awd rules! Needless to say the next stoplight he was looking a bit harder at the STI. It was so easy to put 3-4 car lenghs on him in just 1 block , had to smile.
Loved the Firebird, but it was time for something new and in Seattle rain is the norm, sun the exception.
Beautiful car!

Awesome story man. Thats the kinda **** I want to hear. As long as my STI blows my SS away im happy. But having them be the same speed or if the STI was slower id be very depressed.
One question though. I have about 300 miles on the STI and im already thinkin upgrade. Its not really like me to do this but the turbo lag is pretty annoying. I launch in first gear and when shifting into second I can help but notice that STUDDER!!!! It driving me a little nutty, it almost feels like a miss on an american car.
Ohh, I was toying with a Civic on the way home today. He had flames and **** all over the side of his car. He saw me pulling up on him and he floored it. I matched his speed and then rode his bumper like he was towing me.. If I would have punched it I would have been in his back seat. I just let off and let him go... I didnt even bother with him, he wasnt worth the speeding ticket. He knew I would roast him....
