Newbie looking to buy an STI
Hello All,
I currently drive a 1969 Chevy Nova SS w/ 327 and 4spd. It's a great car...but it's time for something new and reliable. And fast...and fun..and safe...
So I've come to the conclusion that I should sell my Nova(even though I know I'll regret it to some degree) and get an STI, or at a minimum, a WRX.
I stopped by the dealer last week, and of course there were no STI's around. So I drove a 5spd WRX. Nice ride. Good power. Nice interior. Nice wheels. Sticker was about 26K.
I asked if they are getting any STIs in and he said that they are getting 7, but they are all sold. I asked if I could come in when they arrive just to check it out, not drive. He said sure. So, last night, a blue and a silver one arrived. I drove by and saw them for the first time in person. OH-MY-GOD!! Friggin awesome!
Saw the silver one first, with silver wheels. VERY nice, but a little plain looking. Kinda subtle though(aside from the wing and scoop). Then we walked over to the garage, where they were prepping a blue one for delivery. Holy crap! Had the gold wheels..this thing was awesome. Gotta have one. I wasn't sure how I'd like the blue interior..but it is very nice, and fits the car perfectly.
So now I gotta sell my Nova and place an order. Dealer said he can give me MSRP. He better not be lying.
Any ideas on what stereo to install? I want something with MP3 compatibility and an Aux input(for my Zen MP3 player).
Thanks guys/gals.
Jeff

I know how you feel. I had to sell my 1968 camaro SS 350 because it was just too much of a fair weather car. Half my weatherstripping was bad so it had to come into the garage when it rained, and also didn't like cold weather so my dad finally got tired of moving it back and forth and sold it. The day after I sold it I found an STi and put the deposit down on it right there and then. Try calling all the dealers around you and see if anyone who ordered one has cancelled their order for some reason and it's now available to the public.

for mp3 players I would choose
Alpine, or blaununck or Kenwood or sony or pioneer, with Alpine being my favorite brand..
www.highwaymp3.com is a good resource..
