Newbie about to buy
I rolled my jeep wrangler off a 15 hill into a stream...
which blows cause it was a project car, that's wasted now... I was about to turbocharge it...
Anyone I'm going to buy an 03 WRX shortly. My uncle is a dealer so he is feeling around looking for deals... sometimes auctions around here can yield a 02 or 03 WRX with only 3-4K miles for 20 grand. So he's looking around for me.
My questions are... What color I'm thinking the Light blue pearl, or the black... although should I take solar yellow if the option comes up, I know they are semi-rare... I'm upset that STi isn't available yet in the U.S. my intentions were to buy one next year.
Then I'm just looking down the line one what mods to do... I know it's horrible I barely have enough money to afford one, and I'm looking at wheels and body kits and performance mods already.
In the event I do buy new from a dealer, should I go with the stock option on the boost gauge on the steering wheel it's 273 bucks... or should I do it on my own... I was thinking maybe I should also purchase the upgraded sound system, if it sounds good? any thoughts on that...
Anyway just saying hello, hope this board is as friendly as my old jeep BB.
Thanks in advance

If you do plan on getting one, look around some places on the internet for aftermarket. I know that the boost gauge that goes on the column is way to expensive. You can get a set of aftermarket gauges that are way better than that. Also if the dealer is selling you that gauge at that price, then you are seriously getting ripped off.

Welcome
BundyBoyz,
At the risk of sounding like an old pro or somebody who's been here more than just the past two months, I wholeheartedly Welcome you to I-Club and ensure you the info on these boards (and the people who compose the posts) are truly great.
I've had my '03 WRX just over a month and this board has been a great resource.
I might suggest you add into your profile just where you're located. That way people with local knowledge of Subaru connections in your area are more likely to speak up!
Other than that, you'll be mightily imporessed with your Impreza. Just be careful out there -- treat it right, learn to drive it, to appreciate it -- and you'll have more fun than you ever thought possible for less than 30k. Truly a bragin. Truly a blast.
