OMG i am so freakin excited! i went to go test drive the 350z, rx-8 and the sti today and man the sti put those cars to shame, sure the 350z looks smooth but the sti is a beast when it comes to the performance! i went to the dealer today to see if they had a black one but they didn't so im gonna have to wait a couple days (maybe the longest days of my life...) for the black one to come...

anyways just a quick question...anyone know if reflashing the ecu to fix the pinging problem, will reduce the hp on the car? think i read that somewhere but im not too sure if that is a fact or rumor... thanx guys.

oh question number too, does the evo have more whp than the sti or is that another rumor also..?

I got my ECU reflashed and haven't noticed any significant power loss but I don't have any dyno figures to prove it. I have a contact at AEM and the STi they are doing testing on may get a reflash soon. So he will let me know what the figures are.

The other day I thought I heard knock so I am unsure as to if the reflash fixed all of the problem. But the knock I had before was so much that I could reproduce it on demand.

 

What octane gas do you guys use.
