Get your terms straight.
It's not a "lie." You sound like my 9 year old daughter who mixes up the idea of "not necessarily true in all cases" with a "lie."

A very significant number of dealers are selling the car for $5,000 - $15,000 over MSRP. That's a fact, not a "lie."
The situation seems particularly dire in California.
In some states, you can get it for under MSRP.
