I got my EVO for about 2k under MSRP, just like AbusiveWombat. MSRP (with the carbon fiber spoiler) was 30,062, not including the 2k "market adjustment" the dealer had on the sticker, but I paid 28307. I live in rural illinois, though, so it's pretty easy to get good deals around here, particularly with the bad economy. STis are going for MSRP at some dealerships around here, but I have not heard of one going for any less. But for you guys (and gals) in a pinch with greedy dealers, perhaps it's time for a trip to Illinois? lol Seriously, though, I bet if you shop around you will do better. Of course, an even better financial deal would have been if I had just kept my WRX... Already I miss the cruise control, and the in dash 6-CD changer. But now I have a seek button! Hurrah!

A very significant number of dealers are selling the car for $5,000 - $15,000 over MSRP. That's a fact, not a "lie."

The situation seems particularly dire in California.

In some states, you can get it for under MSRP.
