AutoX Camera Mount in the STi
Has anyone made a mount to attach a video/digital camera to the passenger seat of their STi?
I have seen this done several ways in other cars but the lack of metal "headrest posts" on the STi seats make things difficult.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Pics would be great also.

There was just a story about a camera mount that can be mounted anywhere including outside the car on the local news... check out www.9news.com and they might have something about it... ill check later and get back to you.

That thing looks legit, but only cause they have pictures of it mounted on a Suby and a viper
If all you wanted was inside shots, couldn't you just use a regular tripod with two legs extended to the floor, and the third one shortened and resting on the back seat in the center. to secure it, just use a seatbelt or cargo straps attached to the little kiddie seat clamps down by where the seatbelts come out.
HERE is the link to the "sticky pod"

ya, i went through your link and found their website. the difference is that I'm at work and have 24 hours here to kill, so why not do some posting eh...
that thing looks cool, but i bet I could make one from parts i get at the hardware store for about 20 bucks. but it still doesn't get inside shots, tommorro i'm gonna try that tripod thing and let you know how it goes. see you mon...

one more
all i did was use two bungee cords. the rear one hooks on to the two outside kiddie seat hooks, and the front one hooks onto the inside seat mount (make sure you hook it around the metal inside, not just the plastic cover) so you have a nice inside mount for:
$12.99 tripod
$.99 x 2 bungee cords
the only thing that didn't work out too well, is that I couldn't get it low enough to look out under the rearview, and during a bright day, you can't really make out the gauges. I did take a short vid this morning, and it came out pretty cool, you gotta have the radio off and the windows up, and then you can hear the sound of the bypass valve, and the exhaust.
