If the tint has metallic content, it will have some effect on the range of your detector. Any tint will reduce laser range significantly.

Any tint will reduce laser range since it is light-based. Whether or not it affects radar depends on if the tint is metallic or not, so you should ask whoever you plan to have do the tinting what type of tint they use and if it has metallic content.
