Metallic tints can do it.

Is your radio antenna in the rear window? It is in my 05 Legacy, but I specifically asked for a non-metallic tint.

if you have the antenna IN the glass, then using metallic tints can AFFECT it.

but if your antenna is external to the vehicle (like my old 02 wrx), then it should not be an issue.

my 04 STi has the leads in the rear glass.

i specifically told the installer no metallic tint film...

I had the same problem when I tinted my rear windows..Heres how I fixed the problem..pop the trunk and locate the antenna wire under the rear window, splice that wire so you can add another speaker wire to it, and finally you just ground the wire you just added on and you're done...

if you are going to this this, make the wire around 31" long. 31" picks up the middle of the FM band.

if you want tint that won't affect your reception for your vehicle with the antenna in the rear window, contact this company:

www.automalltintfactory.com

They install Huper Ceramic tint, which is superior.
