Im planning on installing a Viper Alarm w/ remote start and bypassing/taking off the stock alarm i have in the car.

does anyone have a wiring diagram to help me do this or a DiY or anything?

or can anyone in the bay area help me do this cheap?? times are hard and cant afford to have a shop do it for me for 400 dollars

im too lazy to look but i found the wiring diagram for my car here when I installed the remote start on my 05 wrx and it should be the same.
Car Alarm, Car Stereo, Mobile Video, and Cruise Control Info for Installers
Please install it properly so no one gets hurt
here is the rules I think are a must for a remote start manual car:
1. it will not try and remote start if the car is in gear (subaru has provided a neutral safety wire which detects if the car is in gear. it it is in gear then it will show ground)
2. it will not try and remote start if the parking brake is engaged(when the e brake is pulled then it will show ground)
3. it will not start if the hood is popped (to prevent someone from getting hurt if they are working in the engine bay and someone else is playing with the keys)

If you dont know what you are doing I suggest paying someone else to do it.
Ive seen and heard about cars remote starting and hurting people and damaging property because of improper installation. PLEASE PLEASE dont become another one of these stories.

good work is not cheap and cheap work is not good. just food for thought.

btw you dont have to remove the stock unit when you install.
good luck
