turbo timer help (with MY05 factory security system)

i recently had an apexi turbo timer installed by the subaru dealer in my 2005 STi. it works perfectly fine...i could let the engine run without the key in the ignition. the problem is that i can't lock my car with my keyless entry/lock while the engine is running. the only way i can lock my car is by locking it manually from the inside. whats the deal? is it the car?..or is it the turbo timer?

I have an 03 wrx so it could be different but probably the same. On mine without a turbo timer you cant use the keyless entry lock button while the car is running.

Check out that thread.

There is a tutorial for the 04 wiring, it should be the same on the 05 unless they changed the positioning of the keyless entry and security modules.

Car Info: 2004 Subaru STI/WRX Silver of course
A good stereo shop should be able to install a relay so you can lock the doors while the turbo timer is counting down. I was going to have it done on my car when I first got my alarm because I already had the TT but sold the TT first they were going to charge me like $100...I know on my car I could lock the doors while it was counting down but when it was done they would unlock.
