What model/year? Probably going to end up removing the back seat and crawling in to pull the release handle anyway.

I assume that you are using your VALET key at the moment.
If that is the case, use the valet key to make a copy.

The valet key is thicker compared to the master key. That is why it it won't go into the glove compartment or trunk key hole.

that sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. what if the kid freaks out when he's inside in that little dark trunk? i've worked with little kids who freaked out; the last place i would want them in is the locked trunk, where it's dark and ummmm....locked.

why don't you go to the dealership and get a new set of keys? If I am getting you right it's not broken..you just don't have the right key.

Seems like the simplest solution to me.

Otherwise find someone really skinny and have them crawl through the pass through into the trunk and pull the lever or spend a few minutes and take the seats off and do it yourself. stupid subaru and their non lowering seats. One of the reasons I went wagon instead. Stupid design.

Car Info: 2004 Subaru STI/WRX Silver of course
Hey areg, get the trunk open and adjust the stricker mounted inside the trunk it needs to be moved up. When I got my STI the first time I tried to open the trunk I thought I was going to break the little lever so I adjusted the lock up and it works great I bet it is hard to open witht he key too? If what I suggested dosen't work then it might be messed up.
