if you put a 10' sub or 12' in the trunk, will the bass rattle the wing apart over time? I want a nice full sounding system, but I do not want to "Rattle" my car apart if u know what I mean?
also, where do you guys put an amp if you got one?
Oh and does sound quality really change if you do not put speakers in the rear doors? because they are kinda low; doesnt seem like it would make a big difference
thanx fellas...Jeremy

You will probably have rattling problems but I'm not sure how it will effect your wing. You could put some Dynamat on the truck lid to dampin it a bit. Not using the rear speakers isn't going to hurt the sound just make sure you have so good front speakers.

I put 2 tens in a closed face box and I get rattles like a ****...
there's stuff called "dead skin" that does the same as dynamat but I think it's quite a bit thinner so it won't take up as much space as dynamat. If you have rear deck speakers and wire your subs on a pre-out terminal, the pairs sound amazing together when you tune them out right. I wouldn't go for only front speakers if I were you cause you won't hear much of them. If anything keep 'em in the rear only if you have to. Also if you can, get some rubber washers for your wing, put em on all the mounts you can and torque 'em down good- these should keep nuts and bolts from vibrating loose which they WILL do over time and elsewhere than your trunk too.

Put the Amp where it would be the hardest for someone to steal it. I had mine in the trunk of my RS and it was real easy for them to steal my box and amp in one shot. And so now somebody is enjoying my amp and sub that I had for only like 3 monthes.....
