Stock Speaker Specs
I have some speakers for the '02 WRX lieing arround, and was thinking about connecting them to my computer for some 5.1 surround sound. But I can't find the specs for them (mainly impedance I guess) so as to make sure they wont blow up my soundcard. Searched a bit, but couldn't find anything.
Also, any ideas, or links to how to do the wiring. I haven't looked much as I want to make sure the speakers will work first, but I'm not entirely sure how to go about connecting them (aside frm the obvious connecting them to the RCA jack).
Thanks for any help

The impedance of the speakers is not really the issue. You cannot connect raw speakers to a computer sound card. The RCA outputs of the sound card must be connected to an amplifier which is then connected to the speakers. So you need an amplifier and you need some type of enclosure for the speakers - since the speakers are not designed to be in an enclosure they will probably not sound very good but you can't just have raw drivers laying on your bookshelf because that won't sound good or look good. With the low price of multimedia speakers, it's not worth the hassle IMO, computer speakers have an amplifier built in.
