stock head unit won't come out!

stock head unit won't come out!
I've been trying to remove my subaru stock radio/stereo and I can't pull it out far enough so that I can unplug the wires. Any advice!?

yep... I sure did... and then i pulled on it just far enough that i can just barely touch the front of the connector on the side but i can't get enough grip to pull it off.

No, try to look into the center console to see if the whole bundle is snagged or tucked in to the back part of the console. I remember being able to pull it out a fair ways before it stopped.

The back of the center console can be accessed from either driver or passenger side.
