Hey Guys,

I have the stock suby alarm on my05 wrx. Recently, the alarm is not honking when I press the lock/arm button. I have tried holding the lock/unlock buttons down together for two seconds as the reverse side of my keyless entry states, in order to get the car to flash and honk, but for some reason it still wont honk. Any body have this problem/ know how to fix it?

 

I bumping this because I'm having the same problem now. The little beep is gone. It used to beep once for arming and 2 beeps for disarm. Now nothing.

 

Failure of the beeper is a known issue on the 04/05's. They become intermittent and eventually may stop working altogether. If you are still within the 36K full warranty period take it to a dealer and get it fixed.
