Replacement LCD screen coating

I recently bought a 5" Pioneer LCD screen for a project I am doing. I got it for $250 under the condition that the screen was scratched by the seller's kids. Other than the scratches, the monitor works fine. The scratches were too deep to buff out, so I used a heat gun and a pair of tweezers to heat and peel the protective coating off. The actual screen underneath is in perfect condition. Only problem is, without the coating, you can't see the screen, as the coating also made the picture viewable. Does anybody know where to get replacement sheets of this adhesive coating?
