Question Jet Coating or Ceramic Coating or Heat Wrapping ?

Hey all-

I have heard more and more people are jet/ceramic coating and heat wrapping their turbos. I have heard claims from vendors of this lowering spool, and cutting under hood temps by 50%. Does anyone have claims to actually back this up ? Is it worth it to have this done or is it a waste of money?

Thanks
Austin

I don't know about 50%, that seems high. But i have heard of decreases in spool up time and underhood temps. It'll keep the heat from the exhaust gas in the pipe, which will keep the air flowing faster (hot air = more energy), which should cause the spool up time to go down.
