Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but......

.7cu ft. will give you more SPL, while 1.7 will give you better SQL. You'll get better bass extension out of the bigger box. I had a pamphlet for my Eclipse subs at one time that went from .6 cuft. to 2.0cuft. They recommend 1.7, due to it being in the middle of the road, giving you the best SQL/SPL combination without sacrificing too much on either end.

What subs are you running..that may help people answer your question a little more.

with the 10's....1.7cuft. sounds awful big. I have the 12's (same series), and i'm only running 1.3 cuft. My recommendation would be to run around 1.0cuft. They may work at 1.7, and you may get a little better extension, but as I mentioned before, 1.0 is probably the best "all around" volume. You should be able to call & ask any authorized Eclipse dealer for this information.
