I am planning on putting some separates in the doors of my 03WRX Sedan. I will be running a MTX Thunder 280 40w x 2 (rated at 77w x 2 on its "birth certificate").

I also will be pushing 600watts to a subwoofer.

I'm looking into Boston Acoustics Rally Series, or MB Quart's Reference or Premium series components.

I've heard that a stereo shop can make anything fit with a spacer, but I'm wondering if I should use 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" speakers.

Has anyone heard, or installed these speakers in an impreza?

I mostly listen to rock, death metal, 80's and 90's pop, and some 80's/early 90's rap. I'm not looking for ear piercing loudness, I'm just looking for a bright, dynamic, clear sounding set of components.
