MB Quart or Boston Acoustics 6 1/2 or 5 1/4

I am planning on putting some separates in the doors of my 03WRX Sedan. I will be running a MTX Thunder 280 40w x 2 (rated at 77w x 2 on its "birth certificate").

I also will be pushing 600watts to a subwoofer.

I'm looking into Boston Acoustics Rally Series, or MB Quart's Reference or Premium series components.

I've heard that a stereo shop can make anything fit with a spacer, but I'm wondering if I should use 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" speakers.

Has anyone heard, or installed these speakers in an impreza?

I mostly listen to rock, death metal, 80's and 90's pop, and some 80's/early 90's rap. I'm not looking for ear piercing loudness, I'm just looking for a bright, dynamic, clear sounding set of components.

I personally would go with the MB Quart They are very crisp and sound great...

i like the boston speakers better personally.

have you looked into focal? my buddy listens to the same types of music and at really high volumes sometimes and those speakers are simpy amazing with awesome midbass.
