KILL switch

I don't think there's a kill switch for Subies. If it's like the factory alarm on the WRX, you have to open the door and then cycle the key in the ignition from off to on a few times to turn off the alarm.

I know the older RS's system is completly different from the WRX system. I think its made by code alarm, but I am not 100% sure. Its the exact same system that came from the factory on my 92 BMW 325is...I dont remember a kill switch though.

Yes, the alarm transmitter battery is replaceable. See page 2-8 in Owners Manual. You can get a replacement battery at most Radio Shacks. Just jot down the battery part number from the Manual.

There should also be a small cutout switch on the lower left of the dash, kinda below that little pullout pocket. You hold that button and turn the key to shut off the alarm.
