Factory sub plug question. Help Please!!!

I have a '04 wagon with stock speakers and underseat woofer. I want to use the wires that run to the under seat sub to run a pre amp. I am keeping stock HU. From what I read on scoobymods.com the plug has only 6 wires, right and left + and - Grey is chassis ground and the red is 12v +, Switched. But when I hook up my voltmeter with the key out I get 12v. Is there something different in the '04 setup. Thanks for any help

I just want to use the plug to send a signal to a LOC and then to a pre amp. I just install 1 10" woofer in the false floor I made for my trunk, new hi mounted door tweeters, one 4 x 100w amp under the driver seat, 1 120w mono amp, new 16g wire from the amp to all the speaker , I already add 6.5" pioneer 3-ways. On monday my kenwood 4042 pre amp will come in and I will mount it inside the center arm rest. I hook up the LOC to the factory sub plug wire to see if everything work . I followed the diagram on scoobymods.com. It says voilet wire left +, orange left -, white right + , and black right -. I get no sound? The amps are on and i got my old home stero with RCA outs and everthing works fine. I'm stump thanks for an info.
