Factory Alarm Remote

I've misplaced one of my two factory alarm remotes. I've reprogrammed the other remote four times so that, supposedly, the other remote is no longer programmed into the factory system. However, if the two remotes have the same "code" it hasn't really done anything. My question is, do each factory alarm remote that comes with the car have it's own unique code, or do they both have the same code?

Just in case someone happens to reluctantly be in the same situation. I asked SOA, and they said that the factory remotes that are provided when you buy the car do run on different "codes." Therefore, you can reprogram the same remaining remote 4 times into the alarm, and not need to buy a new remote if you don't want to. The lost/stolen remote will no longer be able to work on your factory alarm.

yes, what happens is that the brain of the alarm in the car learns the code of the of the new remotes.

so you keep psuhing the old remote codes out of the brain and everything is fine and dandy.
