I recently bought my 2wss-as from a fellow member of this site and had it installed by a friend of mine. The alarm seems to work fine it arms, remote starts, pages, etc. Now the problem is it only receives signal within like 10ft car-> remote. anything after that you get nothing on the remote at all! Now remote -> car seems to be pretty good i can remote start from pretty far, unlock the doors etc. but the only way to know is when i have a friend at the car to tell me otherwisei get no pages at all on the remote. antenna is on the car, and battery in my remote is brand spanking new! the antenna is mounted as exactly as it says in the manual for my alarm.

 

where is the antenna mounted? maybe the battery on your remote is low?

 

antenna is mounted in the location that's recommended by compustar. Batteries for remote are new & I've never dropped my remote ever
