I am in the market to purchase an aftermarket CD Player for my car but have no clue where to start. I am looking for something that is ipod ready. If anyone has any recommendations I would really appreciate it!

Go with RCA hookup if you want an ipod intereface.

the new 2006 alpine head units do away with the expensive iPod box you had to buy and now just require a $30 cable to hook up your ipod. you might want to look into their new line.

 

+1 for alpine, I had one before it got stolen and it was a great unit.

 

Awesome thanks for your help! That sounds a lot better then paying $100 for an ipod adapter. I have heard that the new Pioneers are pretty nice too but require the ipod adapter.

 

i think this deck might be good for you around your price range. it's compatible with the new ipod cable. it comes out in a few weeks. might be worth the wait.
