can u put two facotry amp/sub?????
This is a good question and I was thinking about doing the same. Tapping in to the existing passenger wiring harness is no problem, but I'm wondering if the "powered harness from the deck " to the factory sub would support two factory SUBS. meaning would there be too much of a drain on the wiring = melting. Or possibly not enough power causing a muddy sound overall. Most would wonder "why bother", but the factory sub is not that bad and sure would save on space if Booming is not the objective.

IMO - the suby sound equip sucks for the money you pay.
Yeah - it fits nice under the seats - but sounds muffled. You would be better off getting a 10" and put it in the trunk.
Better quality, and you won't have to worry about it getting in the way under the seats.

i have two subs hanging around the house and always wondered this same question...?
i just dont know if the sub has its own amp or is being powered by the deck... if its powered by the deck then hooking up two would fry the deck.
does anyone know?

I dont find that the factory sub makes muge bass, but compared to ones without it, the sound from my stereo with the factory sub is a lot richer and less distorted. If you have two lieing around, why not, but if you want rich sound and a bit more bass, go woth a JL 12" w6. Not as loud as the w7 and for a lot cheaper, but its the best for great clear and precise bass and indeed rich sound. A good w6 set-up is a tad bit more $$$ about 900+ more $$$.
The factory sub has an amp built in, it even has a gain and crossover built in that you can adjust. Hooking up two will not blow the factory HU, assuming you do it correctly. Just splice in the wires and put it under the driver's seat.

You can easily fit two small amps under the Seats. I have an ADS PS 5.2 and ADS PS 5 mounted under my drivers seat with room to spare. real neat install.... These amps run cool but they have plenty of clearance and airflow down there.... I also have an Alphasonic Pre-amp/Xover/Parametric EQ veclroed to the top of the two amps with the ***** facing backwards... super clean and everything runs cool.... No expert on modern amps but there has to be something similar that would fit......
