I have the sub, the amp, the wiring, now how to put it in the trunk?
Alright, well here is my situation. As you may or may not have read I blew my eclipse sub and got 1 diamond m6 12" in a slot ported box. I have a sony xplod amp, 1600 watts(yes I know its not that much/overrated , it gets repetitive hearing it over and over). I also have a 600 watt kenwood amp that i need to mount in my trunk for my rear deck speakers and front components. Well, i got the new sub and the box is akward, I cant find a good way to mount it. Now without all the dimensions I couldnt get any help, well, I drew the dimensions out on the comp (sorry for the lack of quality) and I need some help deciding what to do. Any suggestions welcome. Yes even, "through away thats ony amp it is a piece of **** and so is diamond....blah blah blah." I am willing to do fiberglass and I have a fair amount of experience. keep in mind that the sub needs atleast 1.5 cubic feet ported, and between .75 and 1.5 non ported.
I am looking for a trunk that will be clean, keeping the spare tire accesable is a must. So once again, any suggestions appreciated and here is the pic.

I am doing something similar in my 04 Forester. The spare tire is covered by a thick square cardboard. Cut a piece of MDF that replaces the cardboard. Then you can build your box on top of that. The two sides of that you can build a raised false floor for that.
This way you can have access to the spare. But the MDF + sub will be very heavy. Don't forget to build some handles, strong hinges.
Hope it helps.

I grew some ***** and removed my spare and are in the middle of custom making a fiberglass box, cause my box was getting way to heavy and took up all my room. When I'm done, I'll have my trunk back.

2 12" Quartz in sub box
The guys at Tweeter put two 12" subs in a birch enclosure. But it is sliding. they are going to fix that issue. I will post their solution. I think they will use velcro to keep it from moving. I can't afford a custom glass box yet. I am getting a 4 channel to run the Quartz components in the front and JL coaxl in the rear door.

The guys at Marina audio stereo are creating a custom setup in my trunk. The box will be against the seat from one end to the other of the trunk with enough room for my rear strut bar with the subs leaning back and this will be mounted to the floor so it doesn't move. Then they are going to create a fake trunk floor where they are going to put my amp, capacitor and fuse boxes under plexi glass. This way I will be able to use my trunk without a huge box in the middle of it.
Mount your amp under the front seats. The passenger seat has tons of clearance so you get good air flow and the driver side isnt bad either. The driverside has less ability to uncover the amp as the seat doesnt move as far. Makes it harder to adjust if its under there.
I have 1 amp mounted under each of my front seats. Very clean, out of the way and saves trunk space.
If you choose to mount your amp on your box, put in a decent buffer or cushion. The box rattling has been known to damage amps over time.
