Needed - Head unit cage and pocket
Yep...someone took my brand new Alpine head unit right out of the dash.....bracket and all. Cops say it'll probably never be recovered. Sucks, but oh well.
Here's the deal....I'm now in need a bracket/cage for the radio (04 STi) as well as the pocket that goes beneath the head unit.
I've got a brand new nose plastic nose protector for the car that I'm willing to trade or just let me know how much you want for these two items.
Thanks,
Jeremy

sorry to hear that your headunit got jacked.
i dont think many people are going to give up their brackets and pockets. your best bet would be to get them from the dealer. if the pocet costs an arm and a leg at the dealer you could get an aftermarket pocket from a stereo shop like one made by Schoce (sp?).

JeremyW,
I had my whole STi stolen and recovered in January, and just got it back from the dealer today. It took forever, but everything appears to have been fixed correctly, except that the thieves ripped out my Alpine head unit just like yours, and the dealer forgot to include the original stereo mounting bracket(s). The parts guy was a bit confused about exactly what parts to order. I installed the head unit myself, but that was 8 months ago, and I could not recall too many details about the bracket parts from memory.
What parts did you order?
Thanks for any help you can provide,
das
