burned cds not playing correctly.

I have an 01' impreza RS with stock audio parts. The blank CD's that I use are Memorex CD-R's. Whenever I play a burned cd it will play somewhat good, but it will skip alot and sometimes the cd player will shut off because it cannot play the cd correctly. I need to know how to fix this until I get a new headunit with mp3/wma compadability.

If you are recording them in MP3 format they won't play right in a stock CD player. I'm sure you're not a n00b but did you check what format you are using?

It's probably the format. If you are making mixed cd's from music on your computer, you have to make sure that the songs aren't in mp3 format. If you are trying to play ripped cd's (meaning they were copied directly from the original cd) they should play just fine, if not I don't really know. Hope this helps a little

MBasile, that's true, but if REx fetish is trying to play an mp3 cd on his stock stereo it probably wont work. Most likely he/she doesn't realize they are mp3s, i just wanted to point out the most obvious possibility.

Try switching your media brand, i like imation and TDK cd-r's, and try burning under 8X.
