Using burned CDs with labels?
I just purchased a 2003 Forester with the basic single-CD slot-loading stereo. The dealer told me not to use CD's with adhesive labels because they might jam the mechanism. Is this a real concern, or just a CYA move for a potential rare problem? Has anyone out there had good or bad experiences with labels CD-Rs???
i wouldnt do it
oh man, i lost my kenwood 10disk changer to a couple CDR labels that started to come off.
the labels were fine when i put the cds in, but it was during the winter time and so the changer would go from cold to hot quite frequently and appearantly it made the lables start bubble and locked up my whole disk changer. unrepairable and i had to yank it apart just to get my cds back.
i will never use label makers again!

I've been told that CD's with labels with damage the unit...I never take the chance...Just use a magic marker
Why the heck would you put a fancy label on it in the first place?
