Battery disconnected -> Parking lights don't flash?

Seeking help here.

I successfully installed my OEM subwoofer on the 05 STI earlier, which began with the disconnection of the negative terminal on the battery. After everything was put together, I noticed that the "Security" warning light now flashes more intermittmently, although it doesn't affect the overall function of my keyless entry/alarm.

Another concern I have is now when I arm/disarm the car, my parking lights no longer flash accordingly, although my regular turn signals/hazards/parking lights all work normally.

I read through the manual and did some searches with no resolution. Does anyone have any experience with this?

It's a 2005 STI with Factory Alarm Upgrade. Thanks!

Sounds like it's now in valet mode. With the drivers door open, hold down the unlock button on the remote for several seconds. This will cancel valet mode and restore normal operation.

Glad it worked. Let's just say you aren't the first to have done this, and you won't be the last.
