Here are some pics of the box i finished the other day. It is slightly over 1 cubic foot in volume and strong as hell. it supported my 250 lbs jumping on it.
If your wondering about the wood skeleton.... the face of the sub is really close to the plane running from one end of the box to the other. i did not want to end up with a flat faced box so i added them to increase the curve. i could have just used longer dowels to space the speaker ring out but i wanted to maximize trunk space.
