amp mounting/wiring questions
i have an 07 wrx and im deciding on putting in my sub and amp and i was wondering how i could wire up my amp in the trunk? like where would i route the wires through. my amp doesnt really mount to the back of my seat because its too big. if i put it horizontally on the back of the seats it would go over the middle where the trunk pass is. so im wondering where if anyone had any suggestions on where to put it.

i had this same problem when i had my wrx. i ended up just covering the armrest.....i only used it to put a hockey stick through but i just said screw it and started putting my stick in the back seat. in my car i'm running 2 10'' Diamond subs with a 900wt amp and another 900wtts to the other speakers and head unit, i also have a capacitor mounted in there it was a tight fit but you just have to give up the arm rest thing. another option is under the passanger seat (if you dont have the premium sound upgrade)
hope this helped

Like vietpunk said, usually the wires are routed on each side of the car. Power wire is usually put on the opposite side of the speaker wires so you don't hear the engine reving through your speakers.
The plastic cover where the edge of the carpet meets the metal of the door comes out pretty easily. Just tuck the wires under the carpet and then put back on the plastic cover.
As for the large amp, I'm in the same boat as you. I have a long amp I haven't found a better place to put it(doesn't fit under the front seats), so the back seats only move together.
Good luck
