Okay so the other day I armed my alarm and unlocked my door through the window and opened the door... Alarm didnt sound! Then tried taking it in and out of valet mode and still no luck. If I hold the lock button down the alarm will sound but I can't get it to go off any other way...

Ok r u sure u have a alarm and not just a keyless entry? On both my 03 and 02 the shock sensor is under senter concel under e brake area if its a full alarm u have that if u don't have that maybe its keyless only! Sorry I can't help ne more then that bro

 

I thought about that so I tried a few of my buddies alarms and no ones works... If I lock my car with my fob... then pop my trunk with my key shouldnt it go off? Or roll down my window and unlock my door, again... shouldnt it go off? Wtf am I missing?

 

i dont know about subaru's but with other factory alarm systems such as gm's, the alarm turns on about 30 seconds after locking. maybe you just have to wait a lil bit.

you can get a basic alarm viper 350 hv at best buy installed for 249 great basic system. just a lil info bro

 

alrighty yall... i figured it out! it was a combo of not waiting a full minute before opening it..and having it in valet mode! So now I have a alarm! No stealing my car now ****ers!
