6x9s on the rear deck (GC6)

6x9s on the rear deck (GC6)

Anyone have 6x9s on the rear deck of their GC6 or possibly know how to mount it right? I currently have 6x9s just sitting on top between the cardboard and the cardboard top is not sitting flush on the deck since my 6x9s are sticking up a little bit. i want to try to keep the stock look since i don't have the grills for it anymore and i don't want to try to cut the metal deck unless i have to. any suggestions?

there's no way around it that i know of, you have to cut the rear deck..... dont worry, it's not hard, and you'll be happy with the results. you're 6x9's should have come with a template..... just use that to cut the holes.

I cut the cardboard and metal to make it fit.
If you don't want to, I guess you can build an adapter to make the speaker sit higher about an inch or two.
