I would say yes. I went up to 6.5's in the front and to me it made a night and day difference. Granted it was upgrading from stock, but if you're planning on running an amp, the bass response should be much better. I found that the 6.5's put out more bass than the stock sub, so I sold that. Just my 2c.

If you're looking for something a little easier to put in, just look for 6.5" speakers that aren't very deep. Part of the problem with going to a 6.5" speaker is that the speakers are often too deep. I put in a pair of kenwood dualmags (all I could get my hands on with my discount) which are actually pretty shallow and fit without any modification or spacers. Good luck!

go with the 6.5's. its not too hard to put in. theres a guy selling the spacers for all kinds of speakers. no need to modify anything. i think his name is east coast scooby or something like that.

Bestbuy... thanks to our crappy economy. I was thinking of getting the fosgate components, but they looked a little too deep, and I didn't want to have to mess with the tweeter. Instead I now have to sets of highs, the tweeters and the highs on the dualmags.
