Head Unit in Guage Pod Mod?
Head Unit in Guage Pod Mod?
You know how people install their head units into the stock guage pod that replaces the clock? Anyone know of any posts on how this is done or if its difficult? I wanted to get this done but I have a funny feeling it might be some tricky business. Plus, I always like directions instead of just winging it, ya know? Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Its not tricky. Just gotta make your cables a bit longer. The pod comes with a cage that any 1 DIN can fit in to.

The one problem I had was my new HU had a flip down face, and that would interfere with the lower lip on the new pod housing. I had to trim away just enough room for my HU faceplate to flip down. This might not apply to other flip down HU. I have a Panasonic 1003U.
