I think most people throw their cats back on for emissions. I'm not sure what the passing rate is for a catless system, but I'm kinda curious as to how it would test...

exactly how many cat components do you really need?

do up pipe have cats? do you need all those cats or is one cat good enough?

well you dont go under load when they test they just rev the car to 3k RPM so i think the down pipe with teh two will pass maybe the one in the up willpass, the sniffer that is. visually you will fail right away

Not sure how many you would actually need to pass. Yes, the uppipe has a cat, so stock... we have 3 total. I'm hoping that one(or maybe two) would be sufficient, but I'm not sure...

yeah they do. my freind does smog inspections and i asked how do they know what they are looking at. he said they have a book with pictures of all the cars and what to look for

i'm not sure about cali but in chicago, i have to do emission test nearly every year an a half unless otherwise a brand new car. so how often do you have to take the smog test or emission test or are they the same thing?
