Your first mod was / will be...

I know this is gonna be a stupid thread.. but I can't quite figure out what to mod first. So I just want to know what your first mod was or will be..

if it has something to do with the engine, did it help out positively in the performance perspective?

Next apperance stuff bodykit wing, TYC tail lights

Then Engine upgrades

My first mod was an Injen CAI. I haven't had any problems with it but it isn't something that I would have done if I had been more well read on these cars at the time (no real HP gains, air filter is now a PITA to clean). Eventually I am going to put it back to stock. Mods that really made a difference? UP/DP, lowering springs, bigger rear sway bar.

Wing, added option from Irvine/SPI motorsports when I bought the car... but back then there was no "STi Wing" so I have a Kaminari wing.

yeah.. i heard a lot of info on intakes.. how great the oem one is and how f'ed up it can be if you get non-oem ones.. of course there are many debates on that.. but i've decided to continue using my stock one.

Just get an Up pipe and a cat back exhaust. Get a down pipe too if your not to concerned about smog. Your going to have to get those mods anyways before you start doing anything else to your car. Or just get a BOV for now which adds 20 whp to attract the ladies. haha.
