I still refuse to give tips.
Waiters that complain about making a lower minimum wage should just get different jobs. If a person chooses to work at a restaurant as a server, that person should accept whatever he/she is given, including no tip. People waste too much money on tipping and being courteous. That tip money isn’t going to make a good waiter or a bad waiter any better. That money should be used to purchase more food or drinks.
Servers need to understand that they should be thankful for having their jobs. Service with a smile is what all servers should do, regardless of whether a tip is coming or not. Why should servers feel entitled to a tip anyway? I do not get tips for working. Servers need to just continue serving and stop worrying about making so much money. The minimum wage is fair to servers. If they want to make more money, they need to get their wages raised, not beg for bigger tips.
