where to install uppipe in L.A.?
where to install uppipe in L.A.?
well PDE just dropped the price of their uppipe to $209 and I've decided to get one...however, the dealer wants $200 to put it in. I've heard of people getting theirs in for far less...so can someone recomend a shop. I'd attempt to do it myself if I several days in a row where I wasn't concerned about having a car to get to work...and another car that I could drive down to the auto parts store if I was missing a tool or something, but as this is never the case I'm looking around for a shop that'll get it done, no worries, and charges less than $75/hr like the dealer.
its really too bad I don't trust my own abilities to do it myself...i'm sure that for however much money I'll end up spending on the install, I could buy myself some very nice tools....bleah

I think anything listed in that thread should do just fine.

Ok, screw it, I'm not going to pay $200 to install an upipe. I'm going to do it myself. Dynamicspeed never got back to me and everyone else I called wants to charge me more than the dealer to install. After reading several instructions I found posted here and there I decided I can do it. I'd rather spend $200 on tools than give it to someone else and miss all the fun of taking my car apart.
If you are going to do it yourself maybe you should consult this thread (below) and take what info maybe useful... IMO, its not worth doing yourself but thats just me. Take a look:
